Late night tea party

So the other night me and Tyler were going through things in the back room and rearranging. Little did we know our children were creating lasting memories. As I peeked around the corner this is what I found.

All three of them having a lamp lit tea party. It made my day.

Christmas in Utah

So on Christmas Day after presents we all climbed in the car and went to Utah. We stayed for 5 days and had a blast being with my family. Chloe got a dance game for her wii and let Madelyn play the kids version. Brielle started to dance along too. It was the cutest thing I have seen!

On the 27th was my mom's birthday and my sister Kjristina and her daughter Chloe and I took my mom for her very first pedicure. It was so fun to watch her face and how much she enjoyed it. She was nervous at first but I think the warm water and hot wax made her fall in love with it.

Me and Tyler also spent some time up at the outlet malls at Traverse Ridge. Then we headed home with sick children. When we got home Brielle had a fever of 103.5 and we took her straight into urgent care. A strong case of the flu and prescriptions for all 5 of us and we were finally home.
I am so grateful for the time I get with my family and for my children to know my parents and siblings. I miss them so much but I'm glad when I do get time with them, it is worth every moment.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas was so fun this year. Madelyn was the first one awake in the morning and couldn't wait to see if Santa had come. Brielle wanted to go back to sleep but with a little convincing to open some presents she bounded down the stairs. Kody was a little tired and had a hard time figuring out what was going on but once he got a hold of some wrapping paper he adjusted quickly. I think kids are born to love opening presents.

The kids got Tyler a scraper for his truck. He needed one desperately!

The big thing the girls asked Santa for this year was a Lalaloopsy Doll. Both girls got one!
Tyler has always wanted a sword and this year Santa got him one. I haven't seen him smile this big in so long!

So the kids were sent on a scavenger hunt for mom and dad's big present this year.

Ya I didn't follow them out to the car. They brought all the puzzle pieces back and started putting it together.

It's a trampoline! The girls were very excited but a little bummed they have to wait for the snow to melt to put it up.

Kody is just enjoying the toys and the mess!
It was a very good Christmas. I love watching my little ones get so excited about the fun of Christmas. I am truly grateful for the birth of our Savior. Having children has definitely made me appreciate our Heavenly Father's sacrifice of sending his only Begotten Son to this horrible world to save us all. I love the Christmas story and all that it stands for. I have truly tasted the bitter cup of sin and the atonement. I would not be who I am or have what I have without it. I love my Savior and need his forgiveness daily. I hope that one day I can teach my children the true meaning of Christmas and have them hold and love it in their hearts as much as I do.

Christmas Eve

This year we went to Grandma Jones's on her birthday the 23rd so we could do our own family thing at Sue and Grover's on Christmas Eve. We played some minute to win it games, which were very fun, and then we opened presents.
