Easter Sunday

So on Easter we went to Lalo and Papa's house and they did an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids.  They were so excited and all got loads of candy.  I haven't seen either of the girls run that fast in a very long time.
Here is a picture of Tyler and Kody on the swing with Brielle.

I just wanted to say a quick word about Easter.  I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ.  Without Him, I would have nothing that I love.  I have personally experienced the great gift of the Atonement, and am so indebted to Him.  I hope that I can live so that one day I can kneel at His feet, and be able to spend eternity in His presence.  Happy Easter!

7 Years

Today marks 7 years that I have been married to my best friend.  It has gone very fast to me.  It is hard to think that I have been married that long and have 3 beautiful kids.  Marriage isn't always easy but I cannot imagine spending it with anyone but Tyler.  He has lifted me up and helped me with so much.  He has given me everything.  I love him more than I can put into words (hence my babbling).  Happy Anniversary babe, here's to many more!

Painting Easter Eggs and Menan Easter Egg Hunt

We colored eggs at home and put some glitter on them.  The girls liked them sparkly.

So we went to the Menan City Park, to the Easter Egg Hunt.  Tyler was at the shooting range for Police Training so we met up with Lalo, Papa, Dillon and Hailee.  Lalo took Kody to his section, Hailee and I took Brielle, and Dillon and Papa took Madelyn.  Kody got a handful of candy but thoroughly enjoyed himself I think.  Brielle was a little hesitant but then got right in and picked up as much candy as she could.  Madelyn on the other hand had a hard time with all the noise and people.  She didn't want to go out and pick up anything so Dillon went with her and got a little bit.  As you can see by the look on her face that she was not happy that her sister got more candy than her.  Oh well.  It was a good fun morning for all of us.

Fun at Lalo and Papas

Porcupine

Madelyn has been studying animals in school and she made this cute little porcupine!  Didn't she do a great job!  I'm such a proud momma!

Home Repairs

So Tyler and I have noticed the dishwasher leaking out of the front.  After a few weeks of trying to mop it up every time we run the dishwasher we also saw that the floor had started to bubble up.  So I found a great deal on some hard wood floor from a guy in Utah.  My wonderful parents went and picked it up and met me and Tyler in Logan and we brought it home.  We went and bought a new dishwasher and the night before it was supposed to be delivered we decided to take the old one out and get ready for the new one.  Well when we pulled it out we found a HUGE mess.  Mold 3 layers down and it was nasty, soggy, and dripping wet.

So we stayed up all night pulling up the floor and all the mold.  Yes, it was a very long night.  So when we saw the extent of the mold we decided it would be safer to take the kids to Tyler's parents house and stay there for a few days til we got the floor replaced.  So I took the kids there Monday and Tyler stayed at the house so he could work on the floor.

So we had to replace the sub-floor, sand it down so it would be smooth and level, and then laid the underlayment.  After the underlayment was laid then Tyler installed the dishwasher.  Soon to find it was the hoses to the dishwasher that was leaking.  So then we pulled up the underlayment, reinstalled the dishwasher then relayed the underlayment.

So Tyler stayed up all night and worked the whole next day to get the floor laid.  It turned out beautiful and he did an amazing job!

So after the floor was laid, we found that the door wouldn't fit  and so we had to replace the door.  So we got a new door with a window!  Don't you love it?  Tyler called his friend Corey Albertson to come and help him install the door and the new casing.  Here it is without the trim put back on.
So needless to say I now have a gorgeous kitchen, and a husband who is done doing projects for me for awhile.  I love it and am very glad that it is over.
